BI 451/551 INVERTEBRATE ZOOLOGY (8 quarter hour credits)I
ntroduction to the diversity of marine invertebrates. What they look like,
how they work, where they live, and their natural history and behavior. Thi
s course will emphasize organismal and functional zoology; topics will incl
ude anatomy, physiology, life history, ecology, and diversity. Extensive fi
eld trips to rocky shores, sandy beaches and estuarine environments and opp
ortunities for exploring live animals in the laboratory.
