MARS(FISH) 6380-6380L is the graduate-level version of this course. Courses in the Marine Biology Spring Semester follow a block schedule; students take one class at a time, which meets every day. MARS (FISH) 4380/6380-4380L/6380L will be taught during March 18 - April 5. This is an intensive, 3-credit-hour course (2 lecture credit hours, 1 lab credit hour) taking place over 14 instructional days. Class will meet for more than 4 hours per day. The course consists of field exercises, laboratory, and lecture. Lectures and most laboratory activities will be held in the UGAMI teaching lab, however meeting times and places will vary depending on the activities planned for the day. Field work will be strenuous and will include conducting trawl surveys aboard the R/V Spartina, pulling various sampling gears by hand in tidal salt marsh creeks, and deploying passive acoustic sensors in Doboy Sound.
